Exadrop®
IV administration set with precision IV flow regulator for gravity infusions
Ready-to-use IV administration set serially equipped with precision flow regulator.
Precision flow control device with or without IV administration set. Only for gravity infusion.
Advantages
3-part drip chamber design
- With elastic bottom chamber and transparent dome. Allows to see drop forming and constant visual monitoring of the flow rate of infusion solutions
- With Micro-Organism tight air vent filter (bacteria-tight and viral filter efficiency) with closable snap cap. Prevents the risk of contamination while venting the solution container
- With fluid filter (15µm mesh size) to provide high flow rate
- With clear and easy to pierce spike, featuring separated fluid inlet and air outlet to reduce risk of air entrainment
Tube
- Fluid line from the infusion bottle to the patient
- Soft and clear tubing with standard lumen 3 x 4.1 mm
Flow regulator
- Practical handgrip for one handed usage allows easy setting of drop rates
- Adjustment of flow rate with a simple turn of the wheel
- Delivery rates between "open" and "off" can be regulated within a wide scope (10 to 250ml/h) to meet individual patient needs
- Once the initial drop rate is set, tubing related fluctuations cannot occur, reducing the risks of under- and/or overdosage
- Safety placed far away from patient reach
Slide Clamp
- Closes and opens the fluid path
Patient connector
- With Luer Lock connection to the patient access.
- With back check valve to reduce the risk of back flow (versions with back check valve)
Material related information
- Not manufactured with latex/ natural rubber
- Not manufactured with DEHP
- Not manufactured with PVC (only applicable for versions with PUR tubing)
Duration of use
- Duration of use is dependent on the intended therapy according to the SPC of the drug or solution.
- In general, change of IV administration sets should occur according national guidelines (e.g. CDC guideline) and/or hospital protocols.
Time and process efficiency
- With the slide clamp above the control, the infusion can be interrupted without setting back the control device to closed position. After having opened the clamp, the flow rate remains the same if the pressure conditions in the infusion system have not changed in the meantime.
